I needed a good and lightweight tripod and this fits. I use it for traveling most of the time and its compact and lightweight is great.From the instructions on the box, this tripod is made for point and shoot, but it works fine for a DSLR. when the tripod's leg is fully extended, it is kinda flimsy, but that is what you get for going lightweight..
